Biography

 

• born in Annonay (Diocese Vienne) as son of the doctor Mattheus Bertrandus.
• studied in Orleans.
• taught in Avignon, Montpellier, Orleans and Paris.
• Preacher and Librarian, Canonicus and Dean in Puy.
• 1320: Bishop of Nevers.
• 1325: Bishop of Autun.
• 20^th December 1331: Cardinal Priest.
• Died on the 24^th June 1349 in Pujault.
