Biography
- Born 1338 as son of Bertonlinus Blasius de Butrio
- Studied under Petrus de Ancharano in Bologna.
- was married to Margaretha de Lambertinis Balduini, two children.
- 05th October 1384: Doctor Juris Civilis.
- 1386: Studied Canon Law.
- 12th July 1387: Doctorate in Canon Law.
- 19th November 1399: Ordinary Member of the Collegium of Doctors in Canon Law.
- Taught Canon Law in Bologna.
- 1390: Taught in Perugia and was Vicarius at Card. Martini Bontempo.
- 1391: Returned to Bologna.
- 1393: Professor in Florence.
- 1400: Returned to Bologna.
- 1402: went to Ferrara to teach Canon Law.
- 1406: Returned to Bologna.
- 1406: Legate of Gregory XII. to Benedict XIII. (Petrus de Luna) together with Antonius Corrarus and William of Todi.
- 04th October 1408: Death in Bologna.
- His pupils were amongst others: Johannes of Imola, Matthaeus Mattesillani, Franziscus Zabarella, Dominicus de S.Geminiano.
- was known for his benevolence. Anecdote: He once did a mistake neglecting a law, called back the client, reimbursed him and asked him to reconcile himself with the other party.
